Learn!
SouthWestern Association (SWA) dealers sponsor all students. Alternating between campus instruction and dealer internships lets students apply, in a real world setting, what they have learned in their classrooms and labs. Students also become familiar with the dealership environment and what is expected of a professional service technician.
Earn!
With paid internships as part of the program curriculum, students can begin earning even before graduation! depending on the region, and the overtime available, graduates typically earn $13.00 to $18.00 per hour, that is $33,124 to $48,672 per year.
Achieve!
Because of dealer sponsorships there is nearly a 100% job placement rate among students who have earned an Associate in Applied Science Degree in Farm & Industrial Equipment Technology from OSU Institute of Technology. Graduates are prepared for a career as a trained service technician who can diagnose problems and perform factory recommended service procedures to maintain high customer service satisfaction.
Advance!
The curriculum is structured to allow graduates to advance in position after additional experience and to understand new systems and components as they are introduced.
