IA&R: Who we are...
The office of Institutional Assessment & Research (IA&R) is organized to support the mission of providing comprehensive, high-quality, advancing technology programs and services for all OSU Institute of Technology students.

IA&R is a resource for administrators, faculty, staff, and students to aid in the evaluation of academic programs and academic support programs. Data are collected from students, faculty and staff, and archival data are used to analyze the need for program change and improvement. IA&R uses multiple measures for both quantitative and qualitative evaluation as well as formative and summative assessment. The office works in cooperation with faculty and staff to achieve the ends of an improved educational environment.

The Office of Institutional Assessment & Research provides information and data, technical expertise, and recommendations to guide academic units and student services at all levels in measuring and improving student learning.

The Office of Institutional Assessment & Research is committed to the success of students, faculty, staff, and community. The following underlying assumptions lay the foundation of our assessment system and create our vision.

• The promotion of student learning is at the heart of every assessment initiative. Student learning is the common goal of every unit and program.
