Oklahoma State University-Okmulgee is a founding member of the Cyber Security Education Consortium (CSEC
) consortium. In Fall 2004, the consortium received a $3,000,000 National Science Foundation (NSF
) grant, and was designated as a NSF Regional Advanced Technological Education (ATE) Center in Cyber Security. The consortium was formed to implement seamless education paths to prepare individuals for careers in information assurance and digital forensics, meet growing demands for information technology (IT) security in all workforce segments, and increase the safety and economic health of Oklahoma and the United States through protection of IT and telecommunications investments.
