OSU Institute of Technology is dedicated to the recruitment and retention of our students. One of the ways we help and retain students is through scholarships. We understand the importance of funding one’s education and how stressful it can be. Scholarships can come from different sources and have various eligibility and awarding criteria. OSU Institute of Technology provides several ways to help offset the cost.
Tuition waiver scholarships are scholarships that cover a portion of the tuition charges and cannot exceed the tuition charges. There are several different types of tuition waivers including the following:
* Contingent on funding.
There are two types of scholarships: internal (OSUIT foundation) and external. Scholarships are funded by individuals, agencies and organizations. Donors set the scholarship requirements.
Foundation Scholarships
The OSUIT Foundation scholarship application is due each year by the designated date listed on the application. The application and essay is submitted to the Scholarship Service office located in the Grady Clack building. Scholarship recipients are selected by the OSUIT Scholarship committee. Scholarship recipients will be notified by letter. Please fill out the 2012-2013 OSUIT Foundation Application.
External scholarships are scholarships that you apply for through an organization, individual or agency. There may be scholarships available in your community. For more information on applying for scholarships please refer to the “Searching for Scholarships” tab located at the top of the page. External Scholarships may send a check directly to the school. If you are a recipient of this type of scholarship you must notify the awarding organization of OSUIT’s address.
