Students of Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology have the right to:

• inspect and review information contained in their educational records.
• challenge the contents of their educational records.
• hold a hearing if the outcome of their challenge is not satisfactory.
• submit an explanatory statement for inclusion in their educational record if the outcome of their hearing is unsatisfactory.
• prevent disclosure, with certain exceptions, of personal information from their educational record.
• secure a copy of the institutional policy, which includes the location of all educational records.

Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology has declared the following to be open directory information:

• student’s name
• student’s address (local and permanent)
• student’s telephone number
• student’s date and place of birth
• program(s) of study engaged
• dates of attendance at OSU Institute of Technology
• academic awards granted
• participation in official organizations and activities
• sex
• parents’ names and addresses
• student picture
